Course: “beginners” is designed for people who have a great desire to learn how to paint, but, unfortunately, have no idea where to start. In this course, you will “get acquainted” with all the most popular materials (a simple pencil, dry pastel, oil, watercolor, acrylic, ink), their properties and features. You will have basic knowledge of building space, perspective, and color science.

COURSE PROGRAM:

This program is basic. Ideal for those who have never painted before.

Lesson #1

Arial perspective. Soft pastel

It is difficult to overestimate the importance of aerial perspective. Knowing the laws that create patterns that reproduce the humid air of Venice, astronomical fog, etc. This perspective creates space on the Canvas!

In the lesson we will: learn the laws of aerial perspective.

Material: soft pastel

Lesson #2

Linear perspective. Pencil

Linear perspective is an important topic, without knowledge of which it is impossible to convincingly depict objects in space.

In the lesson we will learn how to build this perspective, get acquainted with shading, and find out what the picture and object plane are.

Lessons #3-6

Oil painting technique

Oil paints provide rich possibilities in painting. They are distinguished by a large color range, plasticity, and the ability to use a variety of techniques. Oil paints allow you to create a wide variety of textures, which, when dried, do not deform.

Material: oil paints

In the lesson we study brief information on color science, what color is and how to create volume using color, the basics of working with oil paints, and the types of solvents and additional materials when working in this technique.

Lesson #7

Watercolor painting technique

Watercolor – paints on vegetable glue, which are diluted with water. The basis for watercolor is white paper, translucent through a transparent layer of paint and replacing white. This is an ancient technique that was used in ancient Egypt.

In the lesson we will: study the “a la prima” technique, which was invented by Italian painters. It is fresh and very modern.

Lessons #8-12

Acrylic painting technique

Acrylic painting is the youngest painting technique that emerged in the 50s of the 20th century. The binder in acrylic paints is polymer rubber (a special form of plastic). It has a large color range and approaches oil painting in terms of plasticity and variety of techniques.

In the lesson we will: study the acrylic technique, its features and nuances.

1. Getting to know the topic of the lesson

In each lesson, you will have your own topic from which you will study.

2. Theoretical part

Before you start drawing, you will study construction.

Try to consolidate the acquired theoretical knowledge in your work.

4. Corrections of the teacher

Throughout the lesson, the teacher will correct and guide you. Nobody leaves you unattended.

We recommend from 12 years old, but it is also possible to begin at 10. It’s all about the perseverance of the child. The lesson lasts 2 hours, which is worth considering in terms of attention span.

No, each student can have their own theme of the lesson. We have an individual approach and small groups.

Yes, you can change the days of classes, but we recommend studying with one stable group.
